- He and Hiro are the only two original characters who didn't make a return in a future SSX game.
- He's the only character other than Marty who is from Germany. Coincidentally, his and Marty's alternative sport is snowmobiling.
- He's the only character other than Viggo to have a hat with his country's flag on it.
- He is the oldest character in the series thus far.
- He's the 2nd biggest character in the game, the biggest being Luther, 50 pounds heavier than Jurgen.
- It's believed that Jurgen suffered from a broken leg during the time of SSX Tricky.
- In SSX, Jurgen was 35 years old, but in his trading card in SSX 3, his age was stated to be 28.
- His replacement in the next game is Luther; this is mostly due to both being the same size.
